Started trying sardine chum. Nothing at all. Switched to bunker chum, noticeably larger slick, more birds. Sharks show up in about an hour and we catch blue sharks all day. 1 run seemed like a mako but hook pulled after a few minutes. Left for dock at 8pm. Water temp only 55 degrees. Other boats report similar action on vhf all day.

Wind died in am for run out then picked up about the time we got there (8am) water is rough until about 11am and then wind and waves die down and sun comes out. Wind starts to pick back up around 7pm from the west.
